The Children’s Center for Communication/Beverly School for the Deaf (CCCBSD) in Beverly, MA seeks an Early Childhood Teacher of Students with Severe Disabilities to join our team. This full-time role serves 3–5 students with diverse needs using ASL, AAC, and multimodal communication supports.

The position emphasizes individualized instruction aligned with IEPs, collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and ongoing professional development in a language-rich, inclusive setting.

Qualifications

• Eligible for Massachusetts DESE licensure or waiver for Teachers of Students with Severe Disabilities.
• Experience in special education or early childhood setting.
• Experience with AAC and voice-output systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small early childhood classroom serving students with severe disabilities.
• Deliver individualized, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with student IEPs and goals.
• Adapt curriculum to meet diverse needs and support communication development.
• Create a language-rich classroom environment promoting engagement and independence.
• Collaborate with related-service providers and specialists to coordinate supports.
• Participate in IEP development, assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation.
