Job summary

UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ seeks an Educational Interpreter Program Adjunct Faculty member to teach in-person courses and online sections as needed. The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree and preferably a master’s, with ASL–English interpreting credentials.

The role requires compliance with I‑9 verification and campus scheduling expectations. Two years interpreting experience or a mentor-based path is preferred, with a commitment to diverse perspectives, library integration, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Graduated from an ASL–English Interpreting/Translation program is required.
• National certification from the RID preferred; EIPA written portion must be passed.
• Official college transcripts must be submitted prior to interview.

Responsibilities

• Teaches assigned courses in accordance with catalog description and syllabus.
• Incorporates diverse perspectives and use of library, writing, and computing technologies.
• Maintains grade and attendance records and submits reports.
• Plans ahead for supplies, textbooks, and classroom equipment.
• Adheres to college policies and procedures.
