Job summary

COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE DEAF, INC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide in-person, full-time support for Deaf/Deaf-Blind Adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities in Maryland. The role requires fluency in American Sign Language, personal care, household tasks, and medication assistance, with overnight monitoring as needed.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma, a valid Maryland driver's license with minimal points, and be a team player with strong time

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required).
• Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Valid MD Driver’s License with 2 points or less.
• Relevant experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Deaf and/or Deaf-Blind Adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities with activities of daily living (personal care, cleaning, cooking, laundry).
• Medication administration and overnight monitoring as needed.
• Follow the Individual Plan (IP) and implement home-based support tasks per schedule.
