Position: Direct Support Professional Full time - Fluent in American Sign Language.

Responsibilities

Who Is a Direct Support Professional?

A supportive, "hands-on" person who assists Deaf and/or Deaf-Blind Adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. Responsibilities include home-based assistance with personal care, cleaning, cooking, laundry, and medication administration. Frequent overnight monitoring is required, along with additional cleaning duties as assigned. Other responsibilities are identified in an annual Individual Plan (IP) meeting.

Expectations

• Excellent time management, well organized, team player, positive attitude, patient and respectful.
• Annual physical and annual flu vaccination required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Relevant experience is a plus.
• Valid MD Driver’s License with 2 points or less.
• Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
