Job summary

The position is Monday through Friday during school hours in Riverside locations, with a compensation range of $20–$25 per hour. Candidates should have ASL experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience in educational or student-support settings preferred.
• Ability to operate classroom technology equipment.
• ASL proficiency and communication with students who sign.

Responsibilities

• Direct support to students with special needs.
• Participate in activities planned by school district staff.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials and activities.
• Support in-class activities and maintain organized classroom environment.
• Use effective teaching and behavior management techniques.
• Assist with assessments and provide observations to staff.
• Work with students individually, in small groups, or in centers.
• Assist with classroom technology and adaptive devices as needed.
• Support social skills development and daily routines.
• Assist with toileting, dressing, and hygiene when required.
