Job summary

Purple Communications, Inc. is seeking an Account Manager to manage client relationships and drive new business within a defined territory.

You will install, educate, and train customers on our video relay and related services, and actively grow the customer base while representing the company in the local community. You will support customers with onsite and remote assistance, build networks in the Deaf community, and maintain detailed records in Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of Deaf culture.
• Strong technical skills; familiarity with Internet, firewalls, routers, switches.
• Must live within commuting distance or be able to work from a home office.
• Must have a personal automobile and valid drivers license.
• Willingness to travel regularly by car and occasionally by air.
• Sales or customer support experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Onsite, evaluate customer needs and propose solutions.
• Install video products, routers, switches, TVs and cables to connect to the Internet and Purple video relay service.
• Deliver onsite training on video relay services and product features, explaining benefits to customers.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers in the assigned sales territory.
• Maintain appropriate mix of written correspondence, phone contacts, online demos, and onsite visits to stimulate interest and close sales.
• Provide onsite and remote support to customers after initial installation.
• Build a local deaf-community network by soliciting referrals and connecting new customers.
• Maintain account and territory records using Salesforce.com and other tools.
