Job summary

Purple seeks an Account Manager in the Austin, TX area to manage client relationships, educate customers on features of Purple products, and prospect for new business within a defined territory. You will install, train, and support customers to enable VRS and P2P calls, serving as the face of the company locally.

You will build networks in the local deaf community, maintain Salesforce records, and drive sales opportunities from initial contact to close.

Qualifications

• Fluency in ASL and Deaf Culture knowledge required.
• Must reside within commuting distance of a Purple office or work from a home office with high‑speed internet.
• Must have a personal automobile and valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region and by air occasionally.
• Sales or customer support experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer needs onsite and propose suitable solutions.
• Install video products, routers, switches, TVs and cables for connectivity.
• Provide onsite training on video relay services and Purple products.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers in the sales territory.
• Keep records of communications and opportunities in Salesforce; move leads toward close.
• Offer onsite and remote support after installation.
• Build a local deaf community network and solicit referrals from customers.
• Maintain territory records and reports as required.
