Semel Vision Care & Aesthetics in El Segundo, CA is looking for an Ophthalmic Medical Assistant to support physicians by documenting visits, handling administrative tasks, and keeping our EHRs accurate and up-to-date.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, quick to learn, and capable of working closely with a medical team in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience as a medical assistant or ophthalmic scribe is preferred.
• Strong computer, typing, and transcription skills are expected.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities are essential.
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality in a busy clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document patient visits in real time during ophthalmology and optometry appointments.
• Navigate and update our EHR system efficiently.
• Print lab reports, treatment summaries, and assist with chart management.
• Communicate professionally with doctors, patients, and staff.
• Coordinate with providers to complete and submit medical records.
• Assist with additional administrative or clinical tasks as needed.
