Job summary

Rototec LLC seeks a mechanically inclined construction professional to join our U.S. operations as an Assistant Construction Project Manager – Field Operations. The role blends fieldwork with project coordination, supporting drilling projects from planning through completion.

The ideal candidate has practical construction experience, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude. Geothermal training is provided, with opportunities to advance as our U.S.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2–5 years of experience in construction, mechanical contracting, drilling, excavation, utilities, heavy equipment, field service, project coordination, or related environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in equipment and how things work.
• Experience working on active construction sites.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple priorities.
• The confidence to communicate with field crews, contractors, customers, and management.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make practical decisions in the field.
• A willingness to learn new equipment, technology, construction methods, and geothermal drilling practices.
• Basic ability to read construction drawings and specifications, or the aptitude and willingness to learn.
• A valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Northeast.

Responsibilities

• Support project coordination and day-to-day field operations on geothermal drilling projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, schedules, and scope of work.
• Assist with construction scheduling and planning upcoming work to ensure crews, equipment, and materials are ready.
• Monitor project progress, schedules, costs, and quality.
• Communicate with customers, general contractors, mechanical contractors, engineers, and other project partners.
• Support jobsite coordination with field crews to keep construction activities moving safely and efficiently.
• Identify project issues early and work with the team to develop practical solutions.
• Participate in jobsite meetings and communicate project updates to management.
• Assist with project documentation, daily reports, drilling records, change documentation, and other project records.
• Help ensure work is performed according to project specifications and customer requirements.
• Support jobsite safety meetings, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Monitor equipment needs and coordinate maintenance or repairs when necessary.
• Help ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and construction requirements.
