Job summary

Loews Atlanta Hotel is looking for a friendly Host to welcome guests and manage reservations in Midtown Atlanta. You will set the tone for a memorable dining experience with a warm demeanor and strong attention to detail.

You will greet guests, manage walk-ins and waitlists, escort guests to tables, and coordinate with servers and managers to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction across shifts. This role emphasizes guest care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant hosting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the hotel's reservation system.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Communicate estimated wait times and accommodate special seating requests when possible.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
• Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries regarding hours, menus, and reservations.
• Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor dining room flow and adjust seating plans as needed.
• Assist with guest recovery and resolve minor concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Follow all hotel policies and procedures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
• Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance in conformance with company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
