Job summary

Allied Universal® in Ashburn, VA is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol First Aid Support). You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support access control at a commercial real estate location. The role emphasizes customer service and professional communication with tenants and staff.

Schedule includes weekend and evening shifts. Pay rate is $23.36 per hour.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious behavior.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a positive environment for occupants and guests.
