Job summary

Waco ISD is seeking a Speech Pathologist (ASHA...-certified) to deliver speech-language pathology services in the Special Education setting. The role requires licensure in Texas and ASHA certification, with an emphasis on assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators to support students with communication disorders.

The position is Exempt / At-Will and reports to the Director of Special Education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology required.
• Valid Texas license from SBESLPA required.
• ASHA certification required.
• One year of supervised clinical speech-language pathology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide individual and group therapy for students per IEP goals.
• Evaluate progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
• Conduct evaluations to determine eligibility for services.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan activities to improve communication skills.
• Provide professional development to school staff on communication disorders.
