Job summary

Texas Instruments is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join a dynamic, team‑oriented environment in Texas. The role focuses on selecting, installing, upgrading, and maintaining manufacturing equipment used to produce TI’s semiconductor products.

The successful candidate will have a relevant engineering degree and at least three years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with strong analytical and collaborative skills to support cross‑functional teams in fast‑paced operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing as an Equipment Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Keeping current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.

  • Establishing programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
  • Providing technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
  • Defining and writing preventative maintenance schedules.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics or related engineering degree
  • 3 years of relevant experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment as an Equipment Engineer
Preferred Qualifications
  • Equipment experience with Suprema, Aspen, Kokusai dry etch processing tools
  • Prior experience with Plasma, PVD, CVD, high vacuum and/or ultra high vacuum
  • Equipment experience on other equipment (e.g., AMAT, Veeco, TEL, Novellus, and/or ASM)
  • Experience on tool monitoring and interdiction software, and equipment maintenance and documentation
  • Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, and SPC techniques. Experienced with semiconductor cleanroom protocol and behaviors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationship
