Job summary

Texas Instruments in Richardson, TX is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join a dynamic, team-oriented manufacturing support group. You will evaluate and maintain critical production equipment and collaborate with process engineers to keep lines running smoothly.

The role requires a bachelor's in engineering and at least 3 years in semiconductor equipment, with familiarity of TEL/Centura/AMAT platforms and precision maintenance practices.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience as an Equipment Engineer in semiconductor fabs.
  • Familiarity with TEL/Centura/AMAT platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, select, and order equipment for manufacturing.
  • Oversee installation, modification, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance and reliability.
  • Develop uptime improvement programs.
  • Provide technical support to repair and process teams.
  • Define and write preventative maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities Include
  • Evaluating, selecting, and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products
  • Overseeing the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Keeping current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues
  • Studying equipment performance and reliability
  • Establishing programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process
  • Providing technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations
  • Defining and writing preventative maintenance schedules
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics or related engineering degree
  • 3 years of experience as an Equipment Engineer within Semiconductor over Diffusion, Thermal Processing, or RTP.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Equipment experience with Tokyo Electron (TEL) furnaces, ASM furnaces, Applied Materials (AMAT) Vantage or Centura platforms
  • Prior experience with high vacuum and/or ultra high vacuum systems
  • Experience on any other Diffusion or thermal processing fab equipment
  • Experience on tool monitoring and interdiction software, and equipment maintenance and documentation
  • Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, and SPC techniques. Experienced with semiconductor cleanroom protocol and behaviors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
