Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Aseptic Technician for 2nd shift in Fairfield, NJ. The role supports sterilization operations in ISO 6/7 cleanrooms, focusing on washing glassware and medical components, aseptic cleaning, and maintaining GMP documentation.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in aseptic/GMP settings, cleanroom experience, and familiarity with batch records. The position is contract-to-hire, onsite, with benefits and a 2:00 PM–10:30 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of aseptic processing or GMP environments preferred.
• Experience in cleanroom or lab environments with aseptic techniques.
• Strong GMP and SOP knowledge and proper documentation practices.
• Experience reviewing and maintaining batch records.
• Basic computer skills for internal databases and electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Wash glassware and medical components per procedures.
• Work in ISO 6/ISO 7 cleanroom with proper PPE.
• Aseptic cleaning and sterilization for pharma/medical devices/
• Maintain aseptic samples per GMP/SOP.
• Monitor process systems/equipment; report deviations.
• Perform daily/weekly preventative maintenance with team.
• Participate in safety committees and follow rules.
• Complete batch records and GMP forms accurately.
• Sanitize workstations before/after use.
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.
• Support supervisor with additional tasks as needed.
• Adapt to different processes/workflows per project.
