Aseptic Operations Supervisor

The Aseptic Operations Supervisor is responsible for supporting, coordinating, scheduling, and maintaining all manufacturing activities. They supervise and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in component preparations, filling, capping, autoclaving, depy glass, compounding, filtration, lyophilization, and terminal sterilization of finished product production.

Essential Functions
  • Ensure proper systems and resources are in place to meet production schedules and that products are manufactured to specifications in accordance with SOPs, cGMPs, and safety procedures.
  • Provide instructions to the manufacturing department to ensure compliance with GMP, Safety, SOPs, and policies.
  • Review and update SOPs, deviations, CAPAs, and perform roles as directed by management.
  • Supervise manufacturing group leaders and hourly staff in aseptic techniques and production processes.
  • Oversee all hourly employees' performance and activities.
  • Develop reports on scheduling, production goals, equipment issues, and other studies.
  • Coordinate manpower needs with the training department.
  • Monitor production schedules and data during manufacturing activities.
  • Drive productivity and implement strategies from management.
  • Communicate goals and updates to the team.
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet deadlines.
  • Develop and train department employees, build morale, and motivate.
  • Maintain compliance with policies, cGMPs, safety, and housekeeping.
  • Control production schedules and activities to meet objectives and budgets.
  • Supervise and coordinate production activities for optimal utilization.
  • Review projects and ensure completion.
  • Review documents such as Protocols, Batch Records, Deviations, CAPAs, etc.
  • Evaluate staff performance and maintain records.
  • Advise management on operations and suggest improvements.
  • Implement process improvements and ensure resource availability.
  • Support investigations and document corrections timely.
  • Ensure reports are filled out correctly and timely.
  • Set up and operate equipment, troubleshoot, and problem-solve issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 4 years in a similar position.
  • 4 years managing people or projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 6 years in a similar role.
  • 6 years managing people/projects.

Education
  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree with PLC Programming and Electrical Maintenance certification or related experience.

Foreign Language
  • Required: None.
