Aseptic Operations Supervisor - Nights

The Aseptic Operations Supervisor is responsible for supporting, coordinating, scheduling, and maintaining all manufacturing activities. They supervise and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in component preparations, filling, capping, autoclaving, depy glass, compounding, filtration, filling, lyophilization, and terminal sterilization of finished product production.

Essential Functions
  1. Ensure proper systems and resources are in place to meet production schedules and that products are manufactured to specifications, SOPs, cGMPs, and safety procedures.
  2. Supervise and instruct manufacturing staff to ensure adherence to GMP, Safety, SOPs, and company policies.
  3. Review and update SOPs, deviations, CAPAs, and perform roles as directed by management.
  4. Supervise manufacturing group leaders and hourly staff in proper aseptic techniques and production processes.
  5. Oversee all hourly employees in their duties.
  6. Develop reports on scheduling, production goals, and equipment issues.
  7. Coordinate manpower needs with the training department.
  8. Monitor production schedules and data during manufacturing activities.
  9. Drive productivity and implement strategies from management.
  10. Provide updates, goals, and direction to the team.
  11. Coordinate with other departments to meet deadlines.
  12. Develop and train department employees, build morale and motivation.
  13. Maintain compliance with policies, cGMPs, safety, and housekeeping standards.
  14. Control production schedules and activities to meet objectives and budgets.
  15. Supervise and coordinate production activities for optimal resource utilization.
  16. Review projects for timely completion.
  17. Review documents such as Protocols, Batch Records, Deviations, CAPAs, and Risk Assessments.
  18. Evaluate staff performance and maintain records.
  19. Advise management on operational matters and suggest improvements.
  20. Implement process improvements.
  21. Ensure resources are available for manufacturing.
  22. Support investigations and document corrections efficiently.
  23. Ensure team training and compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and safety standards.
  24. Monitor team performance and training needs.
  25. Provide leadership and guidance to team leads and staff daily.
  26. Ensure proper documentation of Batch Production Records.
  27. Set up and operate equipment, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  28. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and in a supervisory role managing people/projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and management.

*Experience may include a combination of work experience and education.

Competencies

Required tools, equipment, and proficiency levels include:

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and handle issues with supervision.

Education
  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree with certification in PLC Programming and Electrical Maintenance or equivalent experience.

  • Required: PLC Programming and Electrical Maintenance certifications.
