Job summary

Pivot Bio is seeking a Lab Technician to aseptically prepare media for multiple departments, using hand techniques and instrumentation while following SOPs and GMPs. You will pipette, sterilize, maintain records, and ensure glassware is clean and ready for use in a fast-paced lab environment.

You will work with instruments like the HIVE and plate fillers, maintain inventory, and support quality control through meticulous documentation and routine testing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent lab experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year lab experience in a microbiology setting with media prep preferred.
• Experience following SOPs and GMPs in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare media (agar, broth, buffers) following standardized instructions.
• Perform pipetting and data recording with accuracy.
• Operate instruments like HIVE and plate fillers.
• Autoclave wash glassware and maintain clean lab space.
• Maintain accurate records and label/store media properly.
• Follow SOPs and GMPs to ensure quality control.
