Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Manufacturing Associate II, DP Operations, onsite in Norwood, MA. The role supports aseptic filling, filtration, formulations, and visual inspection in a compliant cGMP setting with 12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM–6:00 AM).

You will document in MES/eBR, maintain cleanroom standards, and collaborate across QA, QC, and Facilities to ensure smooth operations. The position requires 2–4 years GMP experience or equivalent training, and a degree in a scientific field or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in a Scientific field or a High School Diploma with equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years in GMP manufacturing or similar environment; training available for entry-level candidates.
• Able to work in cleanrooms with full gowning and stand for extended periods; lift up to ~35 lbs.
• Must have 20/20 vision (corrected allowed) and color vision; vision test required on hire and annually thereafter.
• Availability for a 12-hour night shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) with possible overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform formulation, sterile filtration, vial/syringe filling, and visual inspection per SOPs and cGMP.
• Conduct equipment checks, material staging, aseptic line clearances, and routine cleaning.
• Complete accurate ALCOA+ documentation in logbooks and eBR entries.
• Record in-process checks and ensure compliance with specifications and procedures.
• Identify and escalate deviations; support investigations with data and statements.
• Assist in SOP/work instruction updates and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain cGMP, gowning, aseptic behavior, safety, and a clean operating environment.
• Complete required training and mentor peers to support team capability.
