Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to support preventive and demand maintenance in an aseptic environment. This role requires wearing an aseptic gown during a 12-hour shift (7am-7:30pm, Thu/Fri/Sat and every other Wed).

The position emphasizes hands-on development with Sr Technicians across multiple maintenance disciplines to build a broad, practical skill set. Ideal candidates have HS diploma or a relevant certificate and are pursuing formal technical training in Industrial

Qualifications

• HS diploma or certificate is required; completion or current enrollment in a formal technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance is desirable.
• Knowledge of basic power tools and measuring tools used in an industrial setting is required.
• Mechanical, schematics and electrical experience are highly preferred for progression and safety compliance.

Job Description

This is an MD Fill (Aseptic Gown Required) role.

B1 Shift: 7am-7:30pm Thursday/Friday/Saturday & every other Wednesday

This position is an entry level maintenance position. This role will serve as a primary resource on preventive and demand maintenance activities within their current skill set while supporting Senior technicians with more advanced tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Abbvie’s Code of Business Conduct
• Understands and follows all GMP and Safety regulations
• Work with Sr Level Technicians across several areas of Maintenance to build a diverse, multi-craft foundation for their career in the Skilled Trades with the intent of building skills and developing into a higher-level Technician.
• Perform Preventive and Demand Maintenance activities, support Predictive Maintenance activities.

Vocational training to increase skill set and knowledge across multiple maintenance functions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools and ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.
• Mechanical experience highly preferred
• Schematics experience highly preferred
• Electrical experience highly preferred
• Must be willing to wear an Aseptic gown during the 12hr shift.
• HS diploma with 0+ yrs. experience or Relevant Certificate. Completion or current enrollment in a formal technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance desired.
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
