Job summary

Gregory Packaging Inc. SunCup Juice in the United States is hiring an Aseptic Filler Operator I for the 3rd shift (11 PM–7:30 AM). You will operate aseptic filling machines, ensure line safety, quality, efficiency and cleanliness, and assist in machine setup and adjustments.

The role requires a High School diploma, 2 years manufacturing experience, basic math, and the ability to read and write. You must pass a background check and drug screen; relocation is supported and there are growth

Qualifications

  • Must follow all employee safety, food safety, quality procedures, and GMPs; wear required PPE.
  • Review production schedules to ensure correct equipment setups and materials.
  • Make setting adjustments on equipment during production runs.
  • Monitor and fix faults; clear material jams.
  • Able to cover second filler for breaks and lunches; operate case packer and robot.

Responsibilities

  • Operate aseptic filling machines and associated equipment.
  • Ensure line safety, quality, efficiency and cleanliness.
  • Complete required production inspections and paperwork neatly.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition; report issues to maintenance.
  • Provide shift handoff and assist training for coworkers.

Operate Aseptic filling machines, and machines associated with the fillers. Assume responsibility for the filling lines, safety, quality, efficiencies, and cleanliness.

Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Must follow all employee safety, food safety, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear required PPE.

  • Review appropriate production schedules to ensure correct equipment setups have been made and appropriate materials are present for efficient equipment productivity.

  • Make setting adjustments on equipment as necessary during the production run.

  • Monitors and fixes faults as well as clearing any material jams in equipment.

  • Able to cover second filler to cover break and lunches.

  • Able to operate, run the case packer and robot, safely and efficiently.

  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate all downstream line equipment: Conveyors, Printers, Helix, Straw applicator.

  • Coordinates, sets-up, CIPs, COPs, monitors, and operates aseptic filling machines to maximize the quality of products produced and the efficiency of the department.

  • Complete all functions related to cleaning and sanitizing the equipment and the work area.

  • Ensure that the equipment to be operated is in good mechanical condition by visual inspection, identify any problems and contact maintenance for repair.

  • Communicate to Supervisor or Lead regarding any problems that could hinder production output

  • Required to complete necessary production inspections, checks, and paperwork, in a neat and professional manner.

  • Ownership of all required quality checks to assure standards are met and maintained, as packing integrity, transversal seal, longitudinal seal, dye test, organoleptic test, paper splice and all others quality checks required by GPI.

  • Responsible for proper shift handoff with outgoing and oncoming operators.

  • Assist in basic machine operation training of co-workers as necessary to maintain efficiency and coverage during the operation.

  • Ownership of the job responsibilities and job requirements.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekend shift coverage.

  • All other assigned duties.


Physical Requirements, Work Environment


  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Must be able to constantly stand/walk throughout the shift.

  • Significant visual acuity for computer screen, small objects on the line or equipment.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2 years of manufacturing experience or working in a production environment.
