Job summary

Lithia & Driveway in Troy, MI is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs to manufacturer standards, and road-test vehicles to ensure quality. The role requires maintaining tools, completing repair orders, and upholding safety and cleanliness standards across the shop.

Applicants should have 3 ASE certs (Master preferred), strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 ASE certifications; ASE Master Technician preferred.
• Experience in engine, brake, electrical and HVAC repair.
• Manufacturer certifications in all listed areas.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Complete work according to applicable safety requirements.
• Accurately record time spent on repairs.
• Document work performed on repair orders and test procedures/results.
• Maintain an inventory of standard mechanic tools and keep the workspace organized.
• Return customers' vehicles clean and well presented after service.
• Complete required training and maintain manufacturer certifications; participate in ongoing technical training.
