Qualifications include a high school diploma/GED, 4–6 years in automotive maintenance, ASE Master certification, and own tools. Strong communication and teamwork are essential as is ability to supervise when the manager

Qualifications

• ASE Master Technician certification is required; six certifications with some exceptions.
• High school diploma or GED; ownership of own tools preferred.
• Strong customer relations, communication, and problem-solving skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicles and approve diagnostics for service.
• Perform repairs per manufacturer specs across systems (brakes, suspension, etc.).
• Access labor/parts data and diagrams via repair software.
• Communicate with Service Writer and Manager on status.
• Conduct state safety inspections as needed.
• Mentor/assist other technicians and supervise when manager absent.
