Job summary

Robert's Hawaii, Inc. is seeking a vehicle technician helper in Honolulu, HI to support the shop with repairs and maintenance of the fleet.

You will assist lead mechanics and help diagnose basic issues while keeping the shop organized and safe. Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, at least two years’ mechanic helper experience or relevant technical training, English proficiency, basic math, and ownership of essential hand-tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Two years' work experience as a mechanic helper or related training.
• Minimum two ASE certificates or Hawaii State Mechanic License preferred.
• Able to read, write and speak English; basic math skills.
• Must own basic hand-tools and work flexible hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead mechanics with repairs on fleet vehicles.
• Train and supervise underclass technician helpers as needed.
• Diagnose and correct mechanical discrepancies within ability.
• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Generate written work orders daily; maintain shop cleanliness.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
