Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking an Automotive Technician to professionally inspect, diagnose, and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will explain technical issues to customers and co-workers, and stay updated with evolving automotive technology.

The role includes mentoring others and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing brakes, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment, and performing

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED completed.
At least 1 year of automotive diagnosis and repair experience.
2+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering and Suspension; A5 Brakes).
State Inspection license preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair to specifications — brake and hydraulic, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling system, suspension and alignment, perform maintenance services.
Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to non-mechanical customers and staff as needed.
Continuously learn new automotive techniques through formal training.
Assist fellow technicians in technical activities.
Maintain an organized, safe, and clean shop; adhere to policies and safety rules.
