Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) to perform essential repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles in a fast-paced shop in New York. You’ll work with minimal supervision and support senior technicians to build your diagnostic and repair skills.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in auto repair, ASE certifications (with room to gain two more in the first year), and a strong toolset. Valid license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Knowledge of ASE areas including Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, HVAC, Engine Performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles with minimal supervision.
• Assist senior technicians with diagnostics and more complex repairs as skills grow.
