Job summary

VIP Tires & Service in Maine is seeking an Installation Technician to perform tire services, oil changes, MPI inspections and preventive maintenance while upholding VIP safety and quality standards.

The role requires basic automotive service skills, the ability to follow service orders, and a commitment to continuous training, including ASE certifications as listed. This is a non-exempt hourly position with a focus on safe, accurate work and customer service.

Qualifications

• One year of related automotive service experience.
• Two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Valid driver’s license, Equipment Safety Certification, ASE G1 (recommended), ASE A4 and A5 certifications, State Inspection License.

Responsibilities

• Provide tire services, oil changes, MPI inspections, wheel alignments, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure a valid Service Work Order is initiated before servicing and displayed during service.
• Complete MPIs prior to service and support the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process.
• Obtain needed parts from Desk Team and return unused parts.
• Return cores, batteries and used tires to designated areas.
• Maintain minimum 50% productivity over a 16-week period.
• Follow VIP quality service policies and complete required training and ASE certifications.
• Road test vehicles after service to ensure safe operation.
