Job summary

Priority Toyota Chesapeake is seeking a Service Technician to perform automotive repairs and service per store and factory standards. You will diagnose issues, road-test vehicles, and ensure timely, high-quality workmanship for customers.

Ideal candidates will maintain ASE and manufacturer certifications, keep an organized workspace, and collaborate with Service staff to deliver excellent service experiences. This full-time role is on-site at the Chesapeake dealership.

Qualifications

• Diagnose cause of malfunction and perform repairs per standards.
• Follow safety requirements and complete work on repair orders.
• Maintain tools and workspace, and complete required training.
• Acquire manufacturer and ASE certifications as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Complete all work according to safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Record time spent on repairs using time clocking procedures.
• Document work on repair orders and test results.
• Maintain inventory of common mechanical tools and return special tools to proper place.
• Use shop supplies economically and keep workspace clean daily.
• Ensure vehicles are returned clean to customers.
• Complete required training and pursue manufacturer/ASE certifications.
• Participate in training and review technical bulletins as assigned.
• Communicate with dealership personnel to satisfy customer needs.
• Report safety or integrity concerns to management.
