Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) in Dallas, TX to perform essential repairs and maintenance on a modern fleet. You’ll handle oil, brakes, tires, suspension, and warranty-related work with limited supervision.

You may assist senior technicians as you develop skills, ensuring vehicles are reliable and safe so customers can hit the road with confidence. This on-site role requires a complete tool set and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications.
At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
Working knowledge of ASE areas including Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel.
Must have a complete set of tools for automotive repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles with minimal supervision.
Oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake work, suspension repairs, and routine maintenance or warranty-related repairs.
Support senior technicians with more complex diagnostic and repair work to build skills.
Contribute to vehicle reliability and safety to reduce downtime and keep customers on the road.
