Job summary

Greenway Ford of KC, part of the Greenway Automotive Group, seeks an experienced Service Technician to maintain, repair and deliver vehicles while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires hands-on automotive repair experience, the ability to work independently or in a team, ASE certification preferred, and a sign-on bonus based on experience. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• ASE Certification or Graduated from an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair
• At least two years of experience as an automotive technician
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment and lift operation
• Read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records
• Professional appearance and friendly customer service
• Excellent communication and problem solving under stress
• Must have a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Test-drives vehicles and tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs automotive transmissions and related systems
• Communicates directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers if additional service is needed and provide time estimates
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Willingness to learn with hands-on training
• Performs other duties as assigned
