Job summary

Greenway Mazda in Houston, TX is seeking a reliable Service Technician to join our team. The role requires ASE certification or an equivalent automotive maintenance credential and at least two years of hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• ASE Certification or completed an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair
• At least two years of experience as an automotive technician
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Experience with shop equipment such as wheel/tire equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment and lift operations
• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records
• Professional appearance and friendly customer service
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, including composure under stress
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Test‑drives vehicles and tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs automotive transmissions and related systems
• Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Willingness to learn with hands‑on training
• Performs other duties as assigned
