Job summary

Pankalo Education Center seeks a dedicated educator to teach students in grades K-8 with emotional/behavioral disorders and related needs. The role involves adapting instruction and materials to individual student needs and coordinating with families and staff to support student growth.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and a PELSB license in Autism Spectrum Disorders or Emotional Behavior Disorders, with a focus on compassionate, student-centered learning.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum a bachelor’s degree and teaching license in Autism Spectrum Disorders (K-12) or Emotional Behavior Disorders (K-12).
• Experience with special education and IEP development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements and delivers instructional activities to students; assesses progress and adjusts instruction.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates curriculum; prepares and evaluates lesson plans.
• Manages classroom behavior and enforces rules; implements behavioral interventions.
• Maintains accurate student records including grades, attendance, and IEPs.
• Attends meetings with parents, guardians, teachers, and administrators.
