Job summary

The Environmental Charter School seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher in an inclusive setting, focusing on Emotional and Autistic Support and Life Skills. You will work with a team of educators to support students and implement comprehensive IEPs, PBSPs, and data-driven progress tracking.

Candidates should have a PA special education certification and a minimum of 3 years in ES/AS teaching, preferably in charter/K-8 settings, with a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and PA special education certification.
• At least 3 years of experience teaching ES/AS students and behavioral certifications preferred.
• Familiarity with charter schools and K-8 students.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with parents, administrators, school psychologist, and other professionals to develop IEPs.
• Create PBSPs, assist with FBAs, and collect data on plan effectiveness.
• Develop and deliver Autistic, Emotional and Life Skills programming in small groups.
• Provide targeted social/emotional/behavioral interventions.
• Maintain accurate student records and prepare required reports.
