Job summary

Orchard View Schools is seeking a Teaching Assistant/Health Care Aide for an ASD classroom at a Middle School. The role runs 6.75 hours daily (7:05am-2:20pm) from Monday to Friday during the school year, with a pay rate of $16.79 per hour.

The ideal candidate will support the teacher, monitor progress, and assist with data keeping, while following classroom procedures. Requirements include being Highly Qualified per the Department of Education, with an associate’s degree or 60 credits or an ETS

Qualifications

• Must be Highly Qualified per the Department of Education.
• Associate’s degree or 60 credits, or ETS score 460+.
• May require medical-related training (CPR, etc.) as deemed appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Follow the assigned teacher's directives and assist identified students.
• Monitor student progress and maintain data/records.
• Reinforce lessons and activities as appropriate.
• Provide medical-related support as trained.
