Job summary

Ionia County Intermediate School District is seeking a Health Care Aide - ASD to assist teachers in ASD classrooms and support students with varying needs. The role includes implementing behavior intervention plans, maintaining data, and providing physical support under teacher direction.

The position requires lifting and long periods of standing, with pay based on the IISPA Master Agreement. Start date is ASAP and the schedule follows the school calendar.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Ability to interact with professionals and health care aides to provide a positive educational experience for children.
Registered Behavior Technician certification is preferred.
Must be able to lift students up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Must work a balanced calendar schedule.

Responsibilities

Provide physical support to students with varying strength and emotional behaviors.
Implement program-wide and individual student behavior intervention programs, monitor data collection, prepare incident reports, and apply rewards under teacher direction.
Follow and apply behavior plans as written, and accept feedback from others.
Supervise and monitor students in classroom and during non-structured times (arrival, departure, lunch, field trips, recess).
