Job summary

Betty Adams is a K-5 ASD Center Program school within Jeffco Public Schools. This teaching position focuses on students with autism and significant communication, cognitive, and social/behavioral needs, requiring collaborative planning with families and a multi-disciplinary team.

The successful candidate will hold Colorado teaching licensure in Special Education Generalist, lead individualized instruction, monitor progress, and coordinate supports across classrooms to help each student reach

Qualifications

Holds a valid Colorado teaching license with Special Education Generalist endorsement.
Experience or supervised internship with students with significant communication, cognition, and/or social/behavioral needs.
Experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum in an educational setting.
Knowledge of behavior analysis and function-based behavior interventions.
Ability to supervise and lead multiple adults and collaborate on professional learning.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement and support individualized practices for students with significant needs.
Utilize frequent progress monitoring to adjust programming.
Lead problem solving interventions for students in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Organize, coordinate and provide professional learning for classroom staff.
Maintain communication with parents and educators to support student outcomes.
Ensure safety and high-quality instruction across multiple educational settings.
