Job summary

Family Care Network is seeking an Medical Laboratory Technician, ASCP, for FCN Laboratory Services in Bellingham, WA. This full-time, hourly role requires alternating day/evening shifts with 7:30am-3:00pm or 1:30pm-10:00pm schedules and a competitive wage.

The position emphasizes test analysis on patient specimens, quality control, and timely reporting, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and maintain certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician or related health sciences.
• Must be ASCP or equivalently licensed as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Medical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs test analysis on patient specimens.
• Performs and evaluates analysis of quality control, proficiency specimens, and patient specimens.
• Maintains and troubleshoots equipment.
• Consistently meets expected turnaround times.
• Communicates with physicians, AHPs, managers, clinical staff and processors as appropriate.
• Participates in department process improvement work.
