Job summary

OhioHealth Grant Medical Center is seeking a Medical Lab Tech registered (ASCP) to join the Core Lab team. The evening shift (36 hours per week) conducts automated and manual analyses of body fluids and tissues, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and quality control.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science and ASCP certification (or AMT equivalence). Experience in automated clinical laboratories is preferred, and staff mentorship is part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• ASCP certification preferred or AMT equivalence.
• Experience in an automated clinical laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analysis of body fluids and tissues.
• Maintain quality control and instrument performance data.
• Provide mentorship to new lab staff and students.
• Ensure safety and infection control practices across the lab.
• Communicate with clinicians and ensure accurate, timely results.
