Job summary

OhioHealth Core Lab is seeking a dedicated laboratory professional for day shift. The position is part-time (24 hours per week) and focuses on delivering accurate, timely test results and ensuring patient safety. You will perform QC, instrument maintenance, prepare specimens (blood, urine, tissue), and troubleshoot procedures.

Strong communication with clinicians and continual learning are encouraged. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and ASCP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• Clinical laboratory knowledge is expected.

Responsibilities

• performs quality control checks on procedures, equipment, reagents and stains.
• maintains safety and infection control practices.
• handles body fluids and specimens and prepares them for analysis.
• troubleshoots instruments and analytical methods to ensure valid patient results.
• provides mentorship and training to new staff as needed.
