Job summary

University of Kentucky is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist - Certified (Core Lab) to perform clinical testing in a fast-paced Level I trauma center. The position supports services across the Core Lab and satellite sites, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of results.

The role requires a BS- MLS degree (preferred) with ASCP certification obtainable within 6 months of hire. Shifts are three 12-hour rotations per week, including weekends and holidays, in Lexington, KY.

Qualifications

• BS MLS degree preferred.
• ASCP certification must be obtained within 6 months from date of hire.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing including blood gas, chemistry, coagulation, hematology, and urinalysis.
• Operate and maintain state-of-the-art instrumentation in the Core Lab sites.
• Ensure accurate and timely result reporting for a Level I trauma center.
