Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. in Houma, LA is seeking an ASC Program Coordinator with 3–5 years of management experience and 2–3 years in shipbuilding or related field. The role coordinates and schedules projects across logistics, supply support, accounting, maintenance, subcontractors, management, and customers.

You will interface with customers and vendors, develop deliverable schedules, manage ILS objectives, and prepare program data; strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of management experience and 2-3 years of similar experience in shipbuilding or related field preferred
  • College degree in business or related field preferred
  • Familiarization with ship operations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Handles single or multi-government contracts dealing with ILS, procurement, supply support and inactive maintenance functions
  • Interfaces with customers and vendors and works with ILS and/or maintenance team to develop deliverable schedules based on vendor coordination
  • Expedite and ensure all vendor furnished information (VFI) is provided in a timely manner in order to achieve ILS objectives by interfacing with vendors/manufactures
  • Works in concert with Program Support Manager, Acquisition Logistics Manager and the Logistics Program Management Team to lay the foundation for program tasks and aids Integrated Logistics Supports team in understanding the organization of the project’s source data including VFI, Engineering Design Data, Test Procedures and other Program Data
  • Discusses final estimates and projects with ILS/Technical Support, procurement, supply support and supply support management
  • Working with Technical Data department, determines inactive maintenance requirements for equipment on order or delivered to customer. Identifying inactive maintenance functions is done via technical manual review and decomposition
  • Coordinates with customer to convey inactive maintenance requirements as required for each program
  • Plans and develops methods and procedures for implementing programs, directs and coordinates program activities, and supports other department personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of program
  • Ensures that aims, goals, or objectives for specified programs are accomplished in accordance with prescribed priorities, time limitations, and budget conditions
  • Ensures that all team members of their project understand the scope of the project as well as what they are individually responsible for
  • Communicates with management regarding team member responsibilities with respect to job function throughout the different phases of the program cycle
  • Directs and coordinates activities concerned with implementation and carrying out objectives of program
  • Prepares program reports for superiors
  • Confers with personnel to provide technical advice and to assist in problem solving

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated ASC Program Coordinator with preferably at least 3 to 5 years of management experience and 2-3 years of similar experience in shipbuilding or related field. The candidate will monitor projects to ensure that all prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. Also coordinate and schedule all aspects of assigned projects among the various disciplines such as logistics, supply support, accounting, maintenance, subcontractors, management, and customers.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of management experience and 2-3 years of similar experience in shipbuilding or related field preferred
  • College degree in business or related field preferred
  • Familiarization with ship operations preferred
SKILLS
