Job summary

The position requires coordinating with the Material Management Department to optimize supply efficiency, reviewing daily surgical schedules for equipment needs, and managing purchase orders, invoices, and equipment

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of OR background experience.
• Minimum two years in supply; par levels, storage closets, recalls and expiration dates.
• Minimum four years in supply chain; experience establishing and managing par levels and storage closets.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the ASC Unit Material Coordinator for all OR/colonoscopy supply and equipment requests; submits work orders per compliance and SOX; closes purchase orders and invoices daily; initiates service/repair calls for clinical equipment for ASC.
• Receives supplies and equipment; distributes and stores in appropriate areas.
• Coordinates evaluation of material resources with Material Management to maximize efficiency and control costs.
• Reviews daily surgery schedules with perioperative team to determine equipment and supply needs; ensures availability; collaborates on receipt of loaner or shared equipment for schedule caseload.
• Maintains blanket and standing purchase orders; resolves invoice discrepancies with ASC FSS, Perioperative Leadership and Accounts Payable; maintains vendor/materials management files.
• Initiates service/repair calls for clinical equipment; maintains records and reports including electrical safety and preventive maintenance; monitors facilities maintenance work orders; provides material management reports; ensures compliance with established contracts; participates in monthly ASC safety rounds.
• Other duties related to management of supplies and equipment as assigned.
