Job summary

HUMBLE VASCULAR SURGICAL CENTER INC seeks a Clinical Director to oversee day-to-day clinical operations, staff utilization, and resource planning in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. The role includes supervising OR coordination, ensuring compliance, evaluating performance, and guiding a cross-functional team of professionals, with a focus on delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Applicants should be experienced RNs with surgical or endoscopic background, leadership skills, and a commitment

Qualifications

• GI Experience Required.
• Registered Nurse with experience in procedures and the operating room, PACU, or Pre-Admission in a endoscopic or surgical setting.
• Prefer one year of management experience in ambulatory care.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• A current RN license from the State.
• Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons through provisions of adequately prepared service team members.
• Delegate responsibilities and duties to professional, technical, and ancillary personnel.
• Responsible for performance evaluation of all department personnel.
• Coordinate administrative duties to ensure proper functioning of the staff.
• Coordinate the provision and control of materials, supplies, and equipment with the Director of Supply.
• Coordinate activity within the OR suite.
• Other responsibilities or activities as determined by the facility Administrator.

Areas of accountability of the Clinical Director are outlined as follows:

• Assistance to surgeons through provisions of adequately prepared service team members.
• Delegation of responsibilities and duties to professional, technical, and ancillary personnel.
• Responsibility for performance evaluation of all department personnel.
• Coordination of administrative duties to ensure proper functioning of the staff.
• Coordination of the provision and control of materials, supplies, and equipment with the Director of Supply.
• Coordination of activity within the O.R. suite.
• Other responsibilities or activities as determined by the facility Administrator.

Education And Experience

• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, staff, physicians, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to effectively present information to staff, management and physicians.
• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
• Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, medical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases.
• Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
