Job Description

$10,000 Sign On Bonus!

In this role, you will manage the RN staff and also act in a clinical capacity in our Bellflower, CA surgery center. ASC background preferred. Works with the Facility Administrator.

Purpose And Scope

Works with the Facility Manager, facility staff, and physicians to coordinate operations and patient procedures, ensuring quality patient care daily in accordance with policies, procedures, and training. Provides nursing support, assists with staffing, staff training, equipment, physician and patient relations, cost containment, supply management, medical records, patient billing, OSHA, and compliance.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support and drive organization quality standards through regulatory compliance and CQI practices.
  • Ensure outstanding patient care aligned with quality goals, working with management to follow policies and procedures.
  • Address adverse events proactively.
  • Maintain integrity of medical records and administrative data collection activities.
  • Supervise and direct staff in providing safe vascular access procedures, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Delegate tasks to staff including RNs, Technologists, and Front Desk Coordinators.
  • Manage staffing needs, develop patient care assignments, and monitor staff techniques and adherence.
  • Participate in staff performance evaluations, selection, orientation, and training.
  • Coordinate patient care from admission to discharge, ensuring timely scheduling and documentation.
  • Educate patients and families on pre and post-procedure care.
  • Assist with workflow, direct patient care, and monitor procedures as needed.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, confirm orders, and manage lab work in accordance with policies.
  • Handle emergencies, including CPR and emergency procedures.
  • Administer medications and IV sedation per physician orders and regulations.
  • Participate in meetings, assist with data gathering, and report on topics.
  • Maintain facility equipment and environment safety and cleanliness.
  • Participate in cost control initiatives, manage medication and supply inventories, and oversee drug logs and disposal.
  • Ensure compliance of medical records, participate in regulatory surveys, and maintain device records.
  • Act as Facility Manager in absence or as delegated.
  • Follow HIPAA policies and maintain CLIA license.
  • Perform other duties within scope and regulations.

Physical Demands And Working Conditions

  • Includes desk work, patient interaction, travel between facilities, and exposure to healthcare environment risks.

Supervision

  • Direct supervision of facility staff including RNs, LPNs, Technologists, and Front Desk Coordinators.

Education

  • RN from an accredited Nursing School.
  • Current state licensure and ACLS certification.
  • ASC certification preferred.

Experience And Skills

  • At least three years' experience in an ASC or related environment preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical database software.
  • Management and leadership skills, good communication, BLS & ACLS certifications.

The salary range is $92,840 - $154,734, depending on location and qualifications. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, and performance bonuses.
