Job summary

John Turner Consulting in Worcester, MA is seeking an Asbestos Project Monitor to join our Building Sciences team. The role requires 2+ years of hands-on asbestos monitoring, a bachelor’s degree in a technical field, and MA certifications (or ability to obtain them).

Travel to project sites across Massachusetts or NH may be required. You will oversee abatement, perform air monitoring, coordinate with regulators, and document environmental assessments across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Science, Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of hands-on asbestos project monitoring and environmental oversight.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site Project Monitor for abatement oversight, compliance verification, and air monitoring activities.
• Perform moisture intrusion and microbial investigations to identify risks.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and regulatory agencies for compliance.
• Deliver field assessments, technical reporting and regulatory documentation.
• Utilize MA asbestos certifications to support remediation projects.
• Conduct surveys covering asbestos, lead, PCBs and IAQ investigations.
