Job summary

Total Safety is seeking an Asbestos Technician to join its safety-focused team. The technician conducts asbestos inspections, collects bulk samples, and performs air monitoring to support safe work practices and client requirements.

You will operate and calibrate sampling equipment, document field activities, and prepare samples for laboratory analysis, working closely with project teams to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting asbestos inspections and building surveys.
• Collect bulk samples for laboratory analysis of suspect ACM.
• Perform personal and area air monitoring during activities.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain air sampling pumps and equipment.
• Accurate field notes, logs and chain of custody documentation.
• Label, handle and ship samples to laboratories.
• Current asbestos inspector certification and state licenses.
• Credentials for asbestos air monitoring duties.
• Follow project procedures and work independently in the field.
