Job summary

C.T. Male Associates Engineering, Surveying, Architecture, Landscape Architecture & Geology, DPC is seeking an environmental technician in New York. You will collect air samples and oversee compliance with regulations, interfacing with abatement supervisors and NY State inspectors.

Responsibilities include QA/QC for construction projects, ensuring proper site documentation and equipment organization, with a focus on safety and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalency or higher.
• Able to read and write English.
• Able to solve basic math problems.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to travel routinely with reliable transportation for equipment.

What You'll Do

• Collect air samples.

• Ensure success of projects through attentiveness to proper site documentation and equipment organization.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, paid weekly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

What We’re Looking For

• Be a minimum of eighteen (18) years old.
• High school diploma or equivalency degree or higher.
• Able to read and write English.
• Able to solve basic math problems.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to travel routinely and possess reliable transportation capable of transporting monitoring equipment (sampling pumps, power cords, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in asbestos-related projects or environmental sites assessments.
• Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Additional Details

Shifts are typically eight (8) hours a day, between the hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, M-F with extended shift hours (i.e., overtime, overnight, weekends, holidays) occasionally available depending on project deadlines. Projects may include working outdoors, within attics, crawlspaces, boiler rooms, and working at elevated heights (i.e., climbing ladders, scaffolding, and utilizing lifts).
