About the role
A UKAS accredited Asbestos Laboratory is seeking an experienced Analyst to join their team. They are seeking someone with a methodical approach to their work, who can prioritise their workload to ensure deadlines are met. As a minimum, candidates will hold the BOHS P401, but additional modules would be advantageous. The company has a successful reputation and a strong presence in the South East of England, and they are offering excellent basic salaries and benefits packages.
Experience / Qualifications
- BOHS P401 qualification (additional modules desirable)
- Track record working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst
- Good understanding of UKAS and HSG guidelines
- Able to manage workload and prioritise tasks
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Interest in candidates holding BOHS P402, P403, P404 or CCP S301
The Role
- Undertaking bulk analysis of ACM samples
- Using PLM and stereomicroscopy methods
- Participating in AIMS schemes
- Logging new samples and storing correctly
- Updating internal databases with analysis results
- Calibrating and maintaining lab equipment
- Issuing analysis result certificates to clients
- Ensuring performance targets are met or exceeded
