Terracon's DFW Metro Asbestos, Lead & IH Department is hiring hard-working, career-minded individuals for the position of Asbestos Air Monitoring Technician in our rapidly growing hazardous materials consulting practice.

Job Description

HIRE ON BONUS - $1,000

TDSHS AMT/PM LICENSE IS REQUIRED

Positions are available in Dallas and Fort Worth. Starting salary of $21.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience.

This role offers professional growth in a fast-paced environment with the nation’s top asbestos design firm. A current Texas Department of State Health Services Asbestos Air Monitoring Technician/Project Monitor license is required.

The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills and a high sense of accountability. Responsibilities include providing air monitoring services and project oversight on asbestos abatement projects. Training as an asbestos inspector will be provided.

General Responsibilities:

• Perform asbestos abatement air monitoring and project management.
• Conduct tests and sampling of environmental materials.
• Operate field monitoring equipment.
• Prepare data and project logs for reports.
• Maintain monitoring equipment.
• Follow QA/QC and safety standards.
• Assist with surveys and sampling projects.
• Transport samples and documents to labs.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform field tests and inspections.
• Calibrate monitoring equipment.
• Oversee air monitoring during asbestos abatement per guidelines.
• Assist with surveys and sampling projects.
• Support senior technicians and project managers.
• Follow safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Must have TDSHS AMT or AMT/PM license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: TDSHS Asbestos Inspector license.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Flexible hours, occasional weekends, and potential overnight travel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in various conditions, and use ladders.
