Responsibilities

• Lead class/club officers and coordinate ASB activities.
• Coordinate fundraising events and keep calendar updated.
• Provide leadership and training for officers on fundraising and banking.
• Prepare and conduct school-site student leadership programs.
• Maintain working budget and supervise bookkeeping and banking.

Posting Information

We are currently hiring an ASB Advisor for Cedar High School for the 26/27 school year. This is a temporary position that will last for the duration of the school year. This position will remain open until filled.

Schedule

Hours will vary; 26/27 school year.

Salary

$1,740 - $2,088, depending on experience, stipend based on the Shelton Athletic/Activities Association Bargained Agreement.

FLSA Status

Non-Exempt for classified employees and exempt for current, certificated employees.

Summary

The ASB Advisor will play a crucial role in fostering student leadership and engagement at Cedar High School. This position requires a passionate individual who can inspire and guide students in planning and executing various school activities, events, and initiatives. The ASB Advisor will work collaboratively with students, faculty, and the community to create a positive school environment that promotes student voice and involvement.

Responsibilities

• Develops a philosophy for student conduct while participating in class/club programs.
• Responsible for maintaining a high interest, balanced club program to meet student needs throughout the year.
• Establishes dates, times, and places of events for administration approval and placement on the school calendar.
• Arranges necessary transportation and supervision for occasional off-campus events.
• Offers leadership and direction to class/club officers and works with Associated Student Body (ASB) to coordinate class/club activities.
• Coordinates all class/club fundraising events and maintains fundraising calendar.
• Provides leadership and in-service for class/club officers regarding fundraising, banking, and club operating procedures.
• Prepares and conducts school-site student/leadership programs.
• Responsible for maintaining a working budget and directs class/club bookkeeping and banking procedures.
• Supervises students to ensure a safe environment for all.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with students to help create a welcoming environment for all students.
• Works collaboratively and professionally at all times.
• Maintains a positive attitude.
• Welcomes students with the intentions of helping them start this project in a positive and appropriate manner.
• Actively support the District’s Strategic Plan, building School Improvement Plan, and board policy and procedures including those around student behavior.
